Herien was born from the desire to reveal precious metals as matter in motion: a golden coin once passed down by a grandmother, transformed into a collier – a story that continues, though in a new form. For us, gold, silver, and platinum are not fixed substances, but living matter – accompanying humanity for generations, capable of transformation, adaptation, and constant evolution.
Our collections are created in the spirit of conscious luxury, guided by the belief that materials carry both memory and the potential for renewal. Each piece is handcrafted in a multigenerational goldsmith atelier, where savoir-faire is preserved yet continually reinterpreted through the lens of contemporary technologies. We work with recycled metals and ethically sourced gemstones, creating designs that may become the heirlooms of tomorrow – enduring objects, yet always open to change.
In 2025, industrial designer Vera Banaś and architect Magdalena Pietryszyn united their passion for materiality and responsible design, breathing new life into the family foundry established 35 years ago by Magdalena’s father. From this continuity, Herien emerged – a brand weaving past and future through craft, materiality, and innovation.
HERIEN LOOP extends this philosophy into experimentation and research on the materials of the future. Here, we practice conscious design: all trials and prototypes are remelted and reused, ensuring a process free from waste. We employ 3D printing with soy-based bioresins to create models that become molds for enduring forms cast in metal. Technology here supports craft, as matter in its phase of exploration transforms into timeless objects.
Herien is a practice of transformation – jewelry here is not an endpoint, but a beginning.
